Hi everyone!

It's our first trip to DL, and we're arriving at LAX fairly late (10:30 pm). How long does it take to get to DL from LAX? Should we take a taxi? Car service? Rent a car? ANY suggestions would really help!

Thanks!!!!

At that hour, probably around 45 minutes or less. We arrived that late one time and there was no traffic at all. Do you want a car to get around the resort area or will you be primarily just going to the parks? We prefer to rent a car (when we fly down). We did use SuperShuttle once, getting in around 10 pm, and the shuttle made two stops before us (in the residential areas of Fullerton and Placentia) on the way to Anaheim, and we did not get in till near midnight, ugh!

We are National Emerald Club members so we just get off the airport shuttle and go right to our car, so we can get our vacation started!

Unless you rent a car or want to pay @$100 for a cab, Super Shuttle or the Airport bus is pretty much your only options. Super shuttle will pick you up/drop off at your hotel. Airport bus only stops at designated points and you have to locate them and schlep your luggage to the stop. Airport bus only runs once an hour at off-peak times.

(Another shuttle company, 'Mickey's Space Ship Shuttle' may be running from the airport to Anaheim but they told me they do not run from Anaheim to LAX after 4pm..."Not enough money in it." Otherwise, service is the same as Super Shuttle.)

Either way, look at having about 2-3 hours travel time.

Thanks so much! I researched a bit and am thinking of taking a car service. It's a bit expensive, but I really would rather not get into the hotel at 1 am. Has anyone tried it?

We're used to using a car service when we go to WDW so it was a no-brainer that we'd use one at DL.

We'll be using Golden West Express on July 15th. We're scheduled to arrive at 8.45p. I'll let you know how it goes.

We'll be renting a car at the end of our DL stay so I won't be able to provide a return review.
