Looking for recommendations for transportation from LAX to the GCH. We are 4 adults and 2 children. Both children still require car seats (which we are bringing) if not on a motor coach. 2 adults will require round trip transportation, whereas the remaining 4 will be renting a car post Disney and heading to San Diego.

While I'm at it, any recommendations for a 10 day car rental? Where does one pick up the rental when staying at the GCH? TIA!

There's an Alamo office right in DTD.

So the kids will be needing the carseats anyway, for the car trip after Disney? So...SuperShuttle is fine, and needs carseats anyway. You can get discount codes with the Entertainment Book, and various other places. If book SS online, be sure to book it using the hotel name, NOT the zipcode. For whatever reason, they increase the prices if booking by zipcode (OK it's probably a good reason, in that dropping someone off in a random neighborhood probably would yield other, happen to be there, passengers).

Thanks! Is SuperShuttle a van? I'm a bit of a car seat freak (my almost 7 year old is in a 5point restraint) and like to prepare myself with possible installation hang-ups.

I could be wrong, but since you're staying at a Disney hotel you can take a bus for free. I know at WDW it's called the Magic Express. I've been at LAX many many times and each time I've seen a bus for Disneyland. I'd check the official Disneyland website.

The Disneyland Express unfortunately is not free. We used it to get from LAX to PP last year and paid $ 17.

Yep, a van.

Just really get fast at hooking it up using a seatbelt if you're used to LATCH (I practiced at home). I ended up doing it up so well that I had to ask the driver to help me, b/c DS had fallen asleep and I only had the one hand to undo the buckle.

I am also wondering about this. I have a 4 year old and a 20 month old that both require the top tether in their seats.

That's unfortunate. Is it $17 per person?
Disneyland doesn't have free airport transportation like WDW does. The Disneyland express isn't run by Disney.... It's run by Gray Line bus company and anyone can use it to go to the Anaheim area hotels. I can't post a link right now, but their website is: graylineanaheim.com. You'll be able to check the prices there.
