Transportation from Grosvner to GF

On 10/18/02 we are arriving around 10pm to Grosvner Hotel and then will switch to GF for our actual vacation that next morning. I'm wondering what is the best way to travel not only from airport to Grosvner, but also from Grosvner to GF. Our reasoning behind this schedule was so that we could benefit from the few extra hours in the parks the next morning instead of waiting for a plane to finally get in around 11am or noon and since we won't be in that room on the 18th that long, we decided not to pay more at GF and just stay at cheap hotel. Any suggestions would be helpful, thaks!

If it were me, I'd arrange with one of the towncar services (can personaly recommend YourRide, a Transportation Board sponsor) for the trip between the airport and the Grosvner and then back from the GF to the airport. I'm fairly certain that the towncar company will allow you to do this and pay the roundtrip prices. Most of them have a $5 off coupon on their web sites. I'd do this because it is quick, convenient and safe. The last thing I want to do if I am arriving late at night is wander around looking for a shuttle or stop at other places before I get to my hotel. Expect to pay about $75 - $80 RT plus tip. If there are more than 2 in your party, this option is actually less expensive than the airport shuttle services (like MEARS).

For the early morning trip from the Grosvner to the GF, I'd just take a cab. It'll probably run around $15. It will be quick, convenient for luggage and about the only choice if you want to get checked in to the GF and to the parks by opening (especially if you want to take advantage of EE). You could take the hotel's shuttle bus to the MK and then a boat or monorail to the GF, but I don't know what time that first shuttle leaves and if it were me, I'd rather not have to drag luggage along on the shuttle, monorail or boats. JMHO.
