To all of you who have stayed at Comfort Inn LBV, how did you find the transportation to and from WDW parks and from US and SW? I will be staying there solo and was hoping to just utilize their transportation there, but am now a little curious about how effectively the system runs.
I was wondering about the times (for example, when is the pick up from the parks), where they pick you up and drop you off, and are they clearly marked so I know where to look for them?
Were the drivers informative if you had any questions or needed directions?
Thanks,
Jo

I did not use it when I stayed there serveral years ago.

There were pick ups to all parks in the morning and returns at night. (That's it. If you want to go or leave at another time, take a cab!)

I would call them and get the schedule.

As for helpful bus drivers..... Disney hired them all. The ones I have used the few times I stayed off site were not good (one of them spent the entire trip trashing Disney and campaigning for tips!)

Hello fellow Albertan,

Was just there in May for 3 weeks. Had a car for some of the time and relied on the shuttles for the rest of the time.

The shuttles are efficient compared to other off-site places I've stayed. The 1st in the morning goes to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom (I believe 7:45). Drops you at the TTC and then goes the Animal Kingdom. Of course, if you want to go to Epcot or MGM (or anywhere else) you just use Disney transportation from there. The next one leaves at 8:50 for Epcot and MGM (drops you off in parking lots for each park). From then on, the shutlles leave every hour, maybe? They come back in the afternoon up until an hour after each park closes. Pickups are in the same number bus stall - clearly marked with big numbers on the ground - for all theme park areas (ex; Epcot stall 32 bus parking lot, MGM same number, TTC same, Animal Kingdom same, etc.). If ever you are stuck in the World and missed your shuttle, just get back to Downtown Disney Marketplace and take a cab from there ($5.50 with the meter running - the cabbies bartar down there and will usually quote you a $10 fare from DTD Marketplace to Comfort Inn, just tell them to turn on the meter) or take a good 20 minute walk back to the hotel.

The shuttle to Sea World and Universal is good as well. Not as many pickups or dropoffs, but what do you expect? Just 1 route for both areas.

I'd call for the schedule...they may differ during the year and estimated vacancy.

We didn't have one problem with the shuttles or the drivers...Robert was our favourite. Drivers were friendly and helpful - certainly not taking their Disney super happy magic pills (I was a cast member), but pleasant and helpful. Yes, they do leave signs up to tip them...but that is because they can; Disney doesn't allow tipping outside of food service. We were never pressured to tip nor made to feel bad if we didn't; either way from any driver. Big deal...what's a $ (okay, a $1.30 in CDN, but still) with Disney movies playing on the televisions anyway? They smiled and thanked us if we did leave one.

Pretty good service for something that is arguably "free".
