Transportation from Beach & Yacht to Polynesian

My family (5 adults, 2 children, 1 infant) will be going on an Illuminations cruise and we will need transaportation from the Beach and Yacht Club back to our hotel (Polynesian). Can anyone offer suggestions for shortest travel times between the two? Maybe a taxi would be the best option?

I'd say the taxi option would be the way to go.

Resort to resort is tricky stuff,lol...

For that particular situation, I'd recommend the taxi.

Another vote for a taxi. FYI you can catch a taxi outisde all WDW resorts. They are normally waiting, but if one is not there a Cast Member will get one for you right away.
For all the Epcot resorts (Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin) you need to walk through the hotel lobby and out the main entrance where the taxis will be waiting.
