Transportation from Beach Club to a DTD hotel?

Is there any easy way to get from Beach Club to a DTD hotel (not sure which one yet) with our luggage? Because of flight complications, we may spend one extra night there and fly out the next morning (instead of that afternoon). But my only question is how to get ourselves and our luggage to the DTD hotel.

Cab would be the only option since luggage is not allowed on any Disney buses except the DME.

Thanks. Yeah I knew the luggage wasn't allowed on the busses but I know there are a lot of people who do multiple resorts in one stay so I figured there has to be a way.

This question is going to make me look dumb I'm sure, but about how much does the cab fare cost for that? I've never been in a cab in my life.

Disney will handle transporting your luggage from one Disney resort to another, but not from a Disney resort to a non-Disney resort.

So I've just come across some things talking about Disney transferring luggage for you. Has anyone done this? Because perhaps it would just be a better deal for us to switch to an affordable on-site hotel instead of a DTD one if it means not having to worry about moving our luggage (and therefore not having to pay for the transportation to do so).

Yes, bell services will transfer luggage for you between onsite hotels. You cannot expect the bags to be available until after official checkin time at the next resort. It's a great way to get rid of everything but the essentials for the day then go to a park or waterpark or whatever you want to do, then head to the next resort whenever you are ready. (You can checkin early and maybe even get a room if one is available, but the bags won't be there until after official checkin time)

When you get there after official checkin time go to bell services (or call from the room) and ask to have them delivered.

Yes- a few times and it is very easy! Just bring your bags to bell services when you check out and ask for them to be transferred to your next resort. It will take most of the day so don't expect them to be at the new resort until at least check in time. Head to the parks and enjoy your day!

Don't know how you would get back to the airport from the DTD hotel but if you do switch to a less costly WDW Resort you could then use DME back to the airport at no additional cost.

There is one exception to this. Disney and the Swan/Dolphin will work together on transferring your luggage between them. The location of the S/D is probably a factor in that.
