Hey guys,

I was able to get a great deal on train tickets. But now I need to get to my hotel (this is a Universal trip, we are staying at RPR)...Suggestions?

I would like to rent a car, but Hertz is going to be closed on the day I leave(the only car rental company that has a set up at the train station). I was thinking of renting off-site, but I don't know exactly where I will end up or how easily I will be able to find a cab and I think the airport is probably way out of the way.

Thanks for your help!
Charlene

Charlene, We are taking Amtrak to Orlando on Monday, I am renting a car from Enterprise, 35 East Colonial, 407-843-5411, we're getting a compact (dodge neon) for $164.00 wk. They will come to the station and pick you up, I hope this helps, have a fun trip. Alfie

Charlene-
I think that Enterprise Alfie wrote about is your best bet, but just wanted to let you know of my Amtrak experiences...
We travel Amtrak here in California quite a bit and almost every time I have needed transportation from the station to a large resort hotel or Major theme park, they have been able to set it up for me. For example, we were going to Sea World here in San Diego and they arranged a shuttle to/from the park for $5 a person per way. I have noticed that some reservation agents are not familiar with it, so I have to really ask about it and tell them that I know they offer the service (some of them don't want to dig into their computer). Since I have not used it in FL, I am not sure they offer it, but being such a big theme park area, I would tend to think they would. Enjoy your trip!!
