Transportation?? for June campers

Does anyone have an official route for the new Boone and Crockett busses? Is there a website where this new information is listed?

Also, I would love to hear from anyone who has been at FW lately (June) with this information:

Did you have any problems with the new bus routes?

Is the campground truly packed with campers now? (we're going in August)

What time does the first boat to MK leave in the AM?

Any advise for those of us who will be at FW in July and August?

Yes....it was full while we where there. August may not be because all of Florida's schools go back around the first week of August.


What time does the first boat to MK leave in the AM?

It leaves at 8:30am. All boats come out of a holding place that they are stored for the night. But now, the MK boat goes to the WL before going on the the MK.

Will the boat leave eairlier on EE days at MK? Or does it start at the same time everyday? We will also be there in Aug. (the 12 - 17). Is it better to drive?

The boat doesn't leave until 8:30. For EE days, you have to take the bus over.

Hello sltrawick - Nice to meet you too at FW

Check that info - the boat leaves for Magic Kingdom at 7:30 or earlier on EE days. We rode it over at 7:30 one day and about 7:20 another day.

We rode our bikes to the boat dock.

See now when we went to go to an EE day at MK....they told us the boat didn't start until 8:30...aahh! Not only are the bus people screwed up, so are the boat people.

Oh well....no big deal!

Even if the boat leaves at 7:30, if it stops at WL it will be about 8:00 before you get to MK. I think we will just do what we did in October and take the first bus (Crockett) over to the TTC and hop the resort monorail.

All of Florida's schools do not go back the first week in August. Never have. Maybe all of the Panhandle but So Florida doesn't. Miami-Dade and Broward return the LAST week in August. Have for as long as I can remember.
I already have the official school calendar for the upcoming year. Got it the last week of school from the principal where I teach.

Do what you want but the early boats that we took did not stop at WL. We took the boat back and forth to Magic Kingdom several times during our stay and the only time we stopped at WL was one afternoon. I think they only do multiple stops when it is slower during the day.

Let me say this again. The boat leaves for Magic Kingdom before 7:30 on EE days and it did not stop at WL. It took us ten minutes to get to Magic Kingdom - the first time we arrived about 7:40 and the second time we arrived about 7:30. It was very convenient and simple.

From what I understand....(I also teach), they are trying to get all the schools in Florida to start and stop around the same time. We too, for as long as I can remember didn't go back until the end of Aug. Now we go back this year Aug. 9th. It may be the next school year that they do it for you.
They are doing it to give kids more time for the dreaded FCAT test & so that the 1st semester ends before we get out for Christmas holidays...instead of when they come back in January.
