We will at WDW Feb 4-11 staying at CBR. We have 6 adults and one 4yr. The grandparents just had to go. How hard is it to travel from CBR to another resort such as grand floridian or Boardwalk for meals? Do buses run or will it involve going to MK and catching a different bus. Thanks for your help. Also, anybody have an idea of crowd levels then?

Hello, We flew down a couple of weeks ago. It was our first trip without a car. We stayed at Pop Century. We had dinner reservations at The Boardwalk, The Polynesian, and The Grand Floridian. We found it to be easy to get to the Boardwalk. We rode a bus to MGM and then to a boat to Boardwalk. For GF and Polynesian, we rode a bus to The Magic Kingdom and then took the Monorail. It was not difficult, just a little time consuming. It took 45 minutes for the Boardwalk, and then an hour for the other two. Just leave in plenty of time to get there and you shouldn't have a problem. It wasn't bad and we would definitely do it again.

My family too will be at Disney the week of February 4 - 11, staying at OKW. I find it amazing that it will take 1 hour to get to the Poly (dinner at Ohana's), but we're on vacation so no need to hurry. Is 1 hour worst case?

1 hour is about the longest, IMHO.
From OKW, bus to MK, then Monorail to Poly. All depends on how long you wait for the MK bus to come.

When we had ressie's at Ohana, my sister had the idea to catch a bus to DTD and then one to the Polynesian. It was not a great idea....it took one hour and 45 minutes!! I was so frustrated....we were late for dinner! They still seated us though. Leaving Ohana, we waited 45-50 minutes for a bus to DTD! It just was not a good day. The rest of the time, we had NO problems. It was not bad at all. THe average travel time was 30-45 minutes.

you could consider a cab. for about ten bucks you can go anywhere in the world. i dont know about the rest of you, but an hour of travel time is not what i want. my time is worth way more than the ten bucks. plus, you are stress free. that, my fellow disers, is what vacation is all about.

A taxi is always an option for a quick trip anywhere within WDW. Taxis are normally waiting outside all WDW resorts. If one is not there a Cast Member will get one for you right away.
What I always suggest is that you don't plan on going directly from one resort to another just for a meal. Unless you take a taxi it can take a while to get there. The eaisest solution is to plan on the nearest theme park for that part of the day.
For example, if you want to eat at any of the Magic Kingdom resorts plan on the Magic Kingdom for that part of the day. Then you can simply monorail over (you can also take a ten minute walk to the CR). After your meal you can head back to the MK for more park time or take the bus back to your resort. You can also take a bus to another theme park from the resorts.
Likewise, to eat in the boardwalk area you can get there in 5-10 minutes from the Epcot International Gateway (near United Kingdom). The walk from the Studios is a little longer but you can also take the Friendship boats that travel between the Epcot IG and the Studios. The boats stop along the way at the Beach/Yacht Clubs, Boardwalk, and Swan/Dolphin.
With a little planning and using a theme park as your main destination it is very easy to eat at the Disney resorts.
