We are thinking of adding a day to bring our daughter to the harry potter section of the universal parks. It wil just be myself and my daughter. Pre rope drop until 2-3 pm.
I am trying to figure out how to get there with my rental scooter? Standard rental type. I am looking at uber, possibly renting a car? I think I could reassemble it myself but I don't know.

Should I stick wiht the more expensive mears shuttle? Any other ideas?

you can try a taxi van that might work they have them at the resorts ready to take you where you want to go

Mears actually provides most of the taxi service, so it's more what kind of experience do you want - the more personal of a taxi or sharing a vehicle with other guests.
Both would have the option to provide an accessible vehicle or the taxi could put a take-apart ECV in the trunk.

I've also heard of an option that I'm not finding much info about where the guest purchases a 2 park ticket from Universal which includes transportation. Apparently, it's only available thru travel agents - here's a link to purchase information from Dreams Unlimited (company associated with Disboards)

Thanks! I want whatever takes the least time and is most feasible wiht the scooter. Might be two different things :)

@ammag, we have wanted to do something similar on our next trip, so I will be looking forward to hearing about which option you picked, and how it went! :)

I will try to remember to come and share! Right now I am trying to juggle our disney days to squeeze it in.
I wish I had considered this earlier, but my daughter wasn't in LOVE with the story yet!

It might be better to tag it on to the beginning or end of your trip and stay at one of the Universal resorts. A one-day hopper for the Universal Parks (needed if you want to see all the Harry Potter stuff) is expensive, and without early entry it may be extremely difficult to see everything in a single day without quite a bit of waiting in line.

With a one-night stay at a Universal resort you will get two days of Front Of the Line passes, plus easy access to the parks so you can take a break in the afternoon if you want.

I will on the next trip, but this one has to stay as-is. Thanks though :)
