I have been reading conflicting information about bus travel between parks. Do buses go directly between parks or do you have to take a bus to a hotel or TTC first and then transfer? Thanks for any information on this! Also, do buses go from parks to Downtown Disney or do you have to stop at a hotel first for that? Thank you!!:goodvibes

in the bus hubs at epcot, DHS and AK, there are also bus stops to take you to the other parks. i think the buses for the other parks that stop around MK pick up at the TTC, but i'm not sure if that has changed.

i think they go to hotels only.

There are direct busses between parks. No need to go to a resort or TTC.

There are alternate methods between some parks. EP/HS has the boat or walking. EP/MK has the monorail.

There are NO direct busses between parks and DTD. Your best bet is to bus to one of the DTD area resorts and go from there.

Buses to Downtown only go from hotels (they were trialing a direct to DD from AK last year). This stops people taking advantage of the free parking at DD and getting free transport to the parks.

Generally speaking:
Resort to park and park to park - bus

Resort to resort is a little trickier - unless on the monorail you have to go to a park or DTD first and then take another bus to resort

Until about a month ago, for the MK, you did need to transfer at the TTC but not now.

In the fall there was an afternoon AK to DTD as test program but this has ended.

There is "direct" transportation between all the WDW theme parks.

Most routes are via Disney Buses.

Here are the "park-to-park" Disney Transportation direct connections:

MK> Epcot = Monorail to TTC, Switch to 2nd Monorail to Epcot
MK> DHS = Direct Bus
MK> AK= Direct Bus

AK> DHS= Direct Bus
AK> Epcot= Direct Bus
AK> MK= Direct Bus

DHS> MK= Direct Bus
DHS> AK= Direct Bus
DHS> Epcot= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

Epcot > MK= Monorail to TTC, Switch to 2nd Monorail to MK
Epcot > AK= Direct Bus
Epcot> DHS= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

The buses have their destinations shown on them on illuminated signs.
The bus stops at the parks are also marked with signage.

As a rule-of-thumb, allow 40-60 minutes to get from the gates of one park to the gates of another park.
