WL transportation quality is in the eye of the beholder (or rider). My DW & I had a great experience there in May. Disclaimer: we did not want to get to the parks 1 hour BEFORE opening and were not doing a commando tour of WDW.
WL to MK: Best option is via boat behind the big pool/geyser. However, boat transportation is shared with FW, which gets picked up first. Sometimes the boat is full and has to skip WL. (Other option is bus to TTC.)
WL to other parks: Bus -- all are shared with FW. WL is the first stop, then they swing by FW to pick up there. So the ride is somewhat longer, so plan on this by leaving eariler. One exception: AK bus goes to FW then stops at BB to drop off. Return bus from AK goes to BB first, then back to WL.
If you want to get to the parks early (pre-opening), plan to take an earlier bus to accommodate the extra stop at FW.
