Going to WDW in September and staying in PO Riverside. It's first time staying on site. We do not drive so have stayed on international drive before and used myers shuttles to get to parks. This has always worked out well for us, about 14 dollers roundtrip each.

We intend to stay on site for the most part but wondered if u could get a shuttle from riverside to universal or the malls if we wanted to. Anyone know what the options are.?

Mears will pick up from all Disney resorts to go to the major attractions like Universal, Seaworld, Kennedy, etc, Just call and book the night before you want to go.

I don't know about shopping mall shuttles, but I'm sure they'll be available too.

Depending on the size of your party, you may find the costs of a taxi is close to shuttle costs for three or four of you, and can be requested at any time to suit you.

We've never had a car for Disney, but only really do parks and shopping malls whilst there. We've always had no problems getting a taxi to the malls, works out easier

Thanks for the info. I don't think a taxi will be viable. We made the mistake on our first visit of using a taxi to go to the Animal Kingdom and back from International Drive. There is just the 2 of us and it cost $40 each way. As you can imagine, we quickly found out about the shuttles going for $28 round trip.

Does anyone know what the shuttles cost from Port Orleans to Universal?:)

If you don't get a response here, try posting on the Transportation forum. Someone there is bound to know. :)
