Transport Options MCO to Tampa

I'm working on a grand scheme to get my work to send me to a conference in Tampa next spring + give me a week off after (I wonder where I'd go!! WDW!!!). It looks like they'd fly me in and out of Orlando and I'd have to get to Tampa somehow? Options other than just renting a car?

I would rent a car through National or Alamo between Tampa and with dropoff at the Car Care Center location (near MK) if you don't want the car for the rest of your stay. Once you drop it off at the CCC they have shuttles that take you anywhere onsite that you want to go.

I'd just rent a car. There is so much to do in the Tampa/St. Pete area and for much of it you'll need a car.
