Transport from Animal Kingdom Lodge

Hello folks - sorry if this has already been posted before But ive searched and cannot find it.

My daughter and I will be staying at the Animal Kingdom lodge in Sept 2011 afor 2 weeks, and we would also like to go to the 2 Universal Parks, The Space Centre and Busch Gardens for the coasters. Have never been to Florida before.

My problem is that I cannot drive, so need tips and a rough idea of cost to get to the above places as I understand that the lodge is quite a way from the other parks due to the size and the animals.

Any help and advice would be gratefully recieved.! Really looking forward to it...we cope with the heat and the humidity quite well after going to Cancun and also Egypt when it was 46% ( but no humidity...eeeek! )

There is no free shuttle that will take you anywhere offsite. Busch Gardens are about 80 mins away. I believe there may be a bus that will get you there, but it leaves from International Dr, so you would have to get a cab to wherever that departure point is.
As far as SeaWorld goes, you can take a cab, or the Lynx bus system. You would have to get over to the TTC and get the Lynx bus there. It is about $1.50 pp, each way, and you have to tell the driver you want to go to SW.
To get to US/IoA, you can book the Mears shuttle, a day in advance. The cost is about $19 pp, r/t, paid in advance or in cash at the bus, exact change only.
To get to the Space Center is going to be hard...you would have to book a car service, which is going to be expensive.

None of these 'other' parks are close to WDW. The Space Center is about an hour away, Busch Gardens about 75-80, US/IoA about 30, same with SW.
There is transportation to the WDW parks from AKL....that won't be any issue at all.

There is a bus from the WDW area to Busch Gardens. It's free if you have a multi-day Busch Gardens pass or one of the multi-park Orlando "flex passes". The bus picks up from SW and several other offsite locations.

Take a taxi to one of the locations on 192.

There are bus trips to the KSC.

Suggestion. Consider staying at one of the Universal hotels for part of your trip. Walk or boat to Universal. Free bus to SW. Bus to Busch Gardens stops at Universal.
