We are going to Disney with my grandma who can walk but will not be able to walk the long distances at Disney. We are thinking that we could bring a transport chair that she would use for most of the day but she can get out of the transport chair to get onto attractions or eat in a restaurant etc. If we wanted to bring the transport chair in line for attractions, where would we put the transport chair once we load onto the attraction? If we didn't want to bring the transport chair in line for attractions, where would we place it?

This is the first time going with a transport chair so sorry if these questions seem too easy. I did look in the sticky thread at the top but didn't find much about where the chair would go during attractions. Thank you :)

If you enter a line with the wheelchair, CMs will direct you to board at an area where the chair can be left -- this might be the regular boarding or it might be the exit. As long as she can walk a short distance, they'll likely ask you to park it then board.

If you wish to park the chair outside and walk the line, you can park it at stroller parking. I'd make sure you have it tagged or decorated in a way you can easily tell yours from anyone else's chair that might get parked in a similar area. And it could be moved slightly as the CMs are almost constantly shifting the strollers to keep the area from overflowing.

Enjoy your vacation!

On many attractions our transport chair was moved to an exit. If you go on Pirates of Carribean I think they either switch you to their wheel chair, or when you get off the rid it is parked at the exit.

At haunted a Mansion if you can walk and get on the moving ride there is a place you exit befor entering the rid and park the chair. It is there when you exit. If you need it to enter no being able to do the short walk they can accomadate too.
