Transport - arriving SNA, departing LAX

In the past we've flown in and out of LAX, and have done the Disneyland Resort Express. This has generally worked out well, since there were two adults, and two children, so the round trip total was $98.

As the title states though, this time we're coming into SNA, and departing via LAX. We will definitely have 2 adults and 2 children, though there is a possibility that my brother would come, which would make it 3 adults and 2 children. Any suggestions on what might be the best arrangement?

We flew in/out of SNA in Aug. There were 4 adults and 2 kids in our group and we were staying at two different locations (within 1 mile of each other). We used Lansky's and the round trip cost was $160. I used them based on recommendations from these boards and they were fantastic. I'm pretty sure they service LAX also.

We plan to take Uber (if they're legal by that point) or a cab a short distance and Uber after. I took the Disneyland Resort Express years ago and had a decent experience but the recent Yelp reviews are pretty scathing - there's no way I would take it now.

Are you flying into SNA? We've used Uber there before.

We will be flying into SNA. We also will have a carseat for my youngest and a car vest for my oldest since we'll be coming from visiting family in Mexico (I believe that's a requirement for California cars even if they're taxis.)

I had heard of Lansky's. The might be an option because they allow a grocery store pickup. I tried to use Von's delivery on our last trip, but being Canadian, I couldn't provide an American billing address for my credit card, and their system wouldn't accept it.

I like using Karmel Shuttle, personally. Just price things out! No, you won't get the exact round trip price, but I would guess there was a pricing reason you're going through different airports, so it might make up for that.

It wasn't so much pricing as we were coming from visiting family in Mexico, and they had a good flight going into SNA. Going home via SNA though was much less flexible, so it had more to do with flight times.

If you are open to the Disneyland Resort Express, you can call to book. I did something similar in June 2014. We flew into LAX and home via SNA. I called the company that runs the Disneyland Resort Express and they booked it for me and adjusted the price to give me a round trip discount.

Just an option... they were very helpful and emailed me my passes.

Couldn't you use your hotels address for the delivery? Also canadian and wanted to schedule a grocery delivery for our hotel….

As I wrote in another thread, the Yelp reviews of Disneyland Resort Express are pretty scathing. I took them back in 2012 and they were decent. Definitely not high caliber. I'm curious how an Uber holds up price wise. Anyone taken one?

We usually use DLR express when flying in and out of LAX. They're definitely an option, but I didn't realize I could call and get a price adjustment for the round trip, thank you! If my brother ends up not coming, it's probably the most economical, since they don't charge for kids. If he does come, Lansky's quoted me 170, so it's not as big of a jump when we have 3 adults and it allows a bit more flexibility.

It's not the delivery address, it's the billing address for the credit card. They might have changed it, but as of last year, their system wouldn't allow a Canadian billing address. It wouldn't process. I tried emailing them directly to find a work around, no luck. I do have a friend who lives in Cali, I might ask if I can PayPal them $ and use their credit card.

I haven't looked into them yet to be honest. They might be another option. I haven't had any bad experiences with DLR express, and we've used them 3x.
