We are (finally) going on the 28th!!! 4 adults, 2 kids (18m, 3.5y). We have nothing booked yet for transportation. Should we book something in advance? What's your best advise on how to get there? Taxi, shuttle, bus etc?

we also don't have our tickets (we had plans to get them, and it didn't work out, it's a long story). We want 3 day hopper tickets. If we purchase them on the disney website we can pick them up at the Disneyland® Resort Main Entrance Will Call window - will this be a long line up? Just wondering if maybe I should find somewhere online where I can print them at home - I thought I read that somewhere.

Thanks!

There are a lot of different ways... the bus would be the cheapest BUT you have to wait for it, it doesnt leave every 15 min and such, i dunno how long since i never used them before.

Taxi is out of the question... its too expensive...

Shuttle is a good idea. I think you should call and make arrangements, even though the bus system is controlled by Supershuttle.

Answered your question about the lines in the Will Call thread, but no, they're super easy compared to the regular lines...IMO, the regular lines should move that quickly.

I would think SuperShuttle would be your best bet, but with that many of you, would a minivan for the day be of any use? Just a thought...we usually keep a car at WDW. I know someone mentioned flat rate cab from Long Beach was $35, I think which isn't bad, but I don't know if that's available from LAX.

Anyone?

I read on another board that the 2007 DL tickets will have a print at home option.
It's not active yet.

Super shuttle is $15 per person (one way) over age 3 yrs from LAX for shared service, $92 for exclusive non-shared van service.

You need to judge for yourself if the price for supershuttle is more than renting a van. And if you're comfortable about driving to/from LAX.
We debated it with our upcoming trip, 5 of us, but didn't want to run into problems since our flight arrives at 12:15 am on Christmas Day.
Some car rental places are not opened that late/early.
At least we can sleep on the drive! Avoid watching the crazy driving Super Shuttle employees do on the busy LA highways! :scared1:

No need for reservation from LAX, pick up luggage , exit out to street and look for someone in a blue coat.
On the way back, call the night before to arrange for pick up from hotel.

You can reserve online and prepay...I'm considering doing that myself with our crazy flight times this trip.

I just wanted to add that we just got back this week and used LAX as our airport. WHAT A ZOO!!!!!!! I planned on it being crazy, but it was nuts. It took us almost 2 hours from landing the plane, getting luggage, car rental until we were on the freeway. The morning we were flying home, the line for curbside check in was over 20 minutes, it was over an hour inside the doors!

Anyways.....I had planned on using a shuttle, but it basically was going to cost us the same amount as renting a car, so we rented. I used priceline and paid $14 a day for an intermediate car and they had it through Avis. I know the Avis there is open 24 hours as are several of the other rental agencies.

Just be prepared and get there early when heading back home and it won't seem so bad.

Have fun on your trip!
Kathy

I'd probably rent a car for that many people. That way you could stop at the grocery store for stuff if you needed to. If you don't want the car the whole time, you could do a one-way rental and return it at a location near Disneyland then get another one-way rental when you go back to the airport. We did this with Hertz last year and it worked great.
