Transpiration after After Hours events

We’re planning a trip in which we’ll likely be attending one of the Very Merriest parties, which end at 1 am. We’re trying to cut down on the post-event transportation friction that occurs when people leave the park at the same time.

What is the general experience with the bus (or if staying at Wilderness Lodge, the boat) after one of those after hours events? Just trying to get a handle on whether we can stay elsewhere in the parks or splurge for MK resort area hotel. Thank you!

If you stay till 1:00 am , you should not hsve too much of a issue. Most families will leave after fireworks and well before midnight. You will be able to see how few guest are left in park once you get on main street.

We stay in the park and grab a seat near Plaza Restaurant and just wait for most guests to leave. (You will be able to tell.). Disney transportation will run until the last guest leaves the park. We've enjoyed transportation with few guests and no long lines to wait in.
