Transolar Holidays & Disney Cruise

Has anyone booked a Disney Cruise through this firm – if so did they perform OK?
I also think I saw a thread that said that their price also included for the tips at the end of the cruise – can any of you helpful folk out there confirm this?

I can help with this. We have just paid for our third cruise with them and the service is excellent! And yes the tips are included which is a huge saving. Believe me I priced every option before hand and they were the cheapest and because I booked before I usually get a 10% discount. Say hi to Mike for me.

We just got back from the Wonder cruise booked through Transolar.

I was very worried a week before the cruise when we still had no documents. However, they did arrive in time and we had an excellent cruise. The tips were prepaid, and showed up as a credit on the ship account.

We also got an upgrade at the port. All our documents had room 2004 on them but when we arrived to check in we were told "Your travel agent must have some clout as you have been given a free upgrade" We were so thrilled as we had booked a room with a porthole which is on Daves NOISY cabin list, and we ended up with room 7628, a room with a navigators verandah

We felt that although we may have saved a little money by booking direct, the $ exchange rate can alter either way and if its not good when you have to pay the final balance its just bad luck. We were happier having a definate amount of sterling to pay.

I am very pleased with Transolar and would have no hesitation in booking with them again. I believe they are also offering a night free at a hotel near the port which is another great offer.

What I sometimes find is they hold on to the documents for as long as possible because when I phoned up to ask they had them already. The bad thing about this is if you want to book Disney excursions as they can be done from the 60 day stage. However I get the most infromation from the DIS cruise boards and rarely book the disney excursions anyway.
I priced the cruises before hand and Transolar were cheaper than the others even with an exchange rate of 1.55 (which last year was very high!!). However once you figure in the tips it is even more of a saving.
Kay - what a wonderful upgrade! For the first time we are making use of the free room beforehand.

We have booked our upcoming Disney Cruise with Transolar and everything seems to be going great so far. The lady we spoke to on the phone was really helpful and answered all of our many questions.

Obviously we haven't been yet and we haven't recieved the documents but we did get a good price and the service has so far been exceptional.
