Does anyone know where I can find cheap transition lenses online?

Otherwise where is the cheapest store that you've found them?

What was the cost?

Thanks

I used 39dollarglasses.com

I got transition lenses, in sunglasses actually. They seem fine to me. I have worn transition lenses for over 10 years, so I am completely used to them.

I have to look for the final cost, I forget! But if you go on the website, you can figure it out.

I have purchased 2 pairs. One from Costco & one from BJ's.. entire package with no line "tri-focals" progressives came to just under $250 at each place. The same glasses thru Optial outlets in my local area were nearly $500! I love my glasses and would not go without them. While they don't go as dark as regular sunglasses, it helps with having to constantly change glasses. I have a very mild prescription for distance and strong for close up. I don't "need" my glasses to drive but sometimes I feel it is just easier to keep them on. Even while in the car, my transitions go to a darker tint... :thumbsup2

I second 39dollarglasses.com I just got my son a pair for like $129. The glasses and a polycarbonate lense are $39 but then you add the extra transition lense and pick brown or gray. You could also add antiglare. All the lenses are dipped in anti-scratch UV. My son absolutly loves the frame he picked and they are really nice and sturdy.

You can google the company name and then coupon code because there is a $15 off a pare code out there.

Look at the stem of the glasses you currently wear to get an idea of the size to look for so the frames are the right size. I also took out a measuring tape and got the mm on the lense height since DS did not want big lenses. I called the eye doctor for the Pupilary distance (PD) as well.

I have used zennioptical.com for many glasses purchases for our family. I referred a friend to them because she was paying around $350- $400 for her no line bi-focal / transition lens glasses. Her total cost came to $90 at Zenni and she is very pleased with them. I would assume yours would be cheaper if you do not need the bi-focal. I highly recommend them.
