I would pay at check-in. It's not like you can add the Disney Visa Rewards card as a card to use on file (for charging purposes) since it's not a credit card

They charge it when you check in. That said, if you go down to the desk and they've already charged it, they can refund it back to the card on file and you can hand them alternative payment instead, which is what happened to us. I didn't realize they would charge it immediately on Day 1.
