Transformers is coming to Universal!

Just saw the big universal announcement and like most people guessed it was that Transformers 3D is coming to Orlando!

I guess this is the same ride that is already at Universal Singapore.
We rode it earlier this year and it seemed identical to Spiderman but with a different "film" in the background. The ride vehicles were the same and even the ride sequence seemed very familiar although we haven't bothered with Universal Orlando for about eight years.

I watch a video of the California one in YouTube a while back and it looks really good. It's just simulator type thing

They're practically identical rides, I can't imagine why Universal would make the same ride twice at the same resort?

I rode the LA version in August and it left me a bit meh. To get the most from it, I think you've got to be a fan of the films (or have kids who are fans of the films). The queue experience though is quite good fun - some nice snarky lines between robots - and they've got Liam Neeson to do Optimus Prime but the ride itself is very similar to the Spiderman one (which, weirdly, I do find to be good fun - mainly because it's got a sense of humour to it).

Of course, none of this will stop me from making a special trip back to Universal just so I can ride this when it's up and running ...
