Transformers Evacuated!

Saw that also. Along with the "panicked" monorail guests. The only reason they were in harnesses was that the car was stalled in one of the elevator shafts. Depending on which news organization you look at, the stuck car was anywhere from 15 feet to 40 feet in the air. If Im not mistaken, they were the only ones FD came to get. The others were all walked off the ride by maint and ops.

:scared1:
Scary!! What's going on? First man loses fingertips on POC then the monorail is hit by lightning and now this. Lol maybe we should take out insurance before our trip next month!

"O.K., please make sure your harnesses are secure and we will pull you up to the ladder. And as a sign of goodwill, we have VIP passes for all twelve of you."

"I think my harness might be coming loose.....aaaaaaah!! <splat>"

"Uh...we have eleven VIP passes."

We arrived at the parks the day after this happened, and saw people using their VIP passes a few times in the next two days. We were guessing that was the case, but then overheard one couple telling a TM about it.

On our honeymoon, we got stuck on a coaster ride in another park for over an hour, in 100 degree July heat. The ride just stopped, with us dangling our feet 8 feet off the ground and 20 feet from the platform. We were the only ones on it. A worker offered to spray us with a hose to cool us off (we declined). At the end, all they they gave us a voucher for a free bottle of water. :rotfl:

The rescue took about 16 minutes, he said.
That's nice and quick. I've been trapped way longer on rides that we just walked off of.

The reason it was so quick it was only 1 car they had to evacuate. All of the other cars were in more accessible areas and the guests walked off. This one car was stuck between floors.
