For excursions you book with DCL, do you have to find your own transportation or is it included? Do you have to wait for the whole group to return or can you go back to the ship at any time?

If you just want to shop, are there shops within waking distance on St. Thomas and St. Maarten or do you need to take a taxi? If you need to take a taxi, how do you know where to go?

Sorry for the stupid questions, I am just thankful for a place to ask them.

Transportation is included in shore excursions. Most of the excursions are a group so you would have to wait for everyone before you could return, some have contiunal transportation running but those would be noted in the description of the excursions.

You can walk to the shops on both St Thomas and St Maarten. The cruise ship docks (tender port...what ever the case may be) are only about a block away from shopping...very easy to get there.

Thanks LibertyBelle.

DM had both knees replaced, but gets around ok. Long periods of walking may not be the best. Do you know if the is distance more, less or the same from where we docked in Nassau when we took the Wonder? Should I invest in a wheelchair?
