transfers from airport

Coach transfer from Sandford/ resort was very poor, anyone know of another way ie taxis, mears etc

Mears is one option, but you will probably be in the same boat as the coach transfer - i.e having to drop off at various hotels etc.

One of the best options is a Towncar Transfer. You get yoor own persenal driver who will meet you at baggage claim and then drive you to you hotel (via a grocery stop if required).

I've read alot of folks use Happy Limo ,maybe look at their web site and see if it's for you, the web site is http://www.happylimo.com .I think they do a stop at a supermarket, on the way to the hotel to get essential groceries , included in the price. Not used it ourselves but have heard great things about them.

I had a problem with transfers at sanford on our last trip in 2003, although it was part of our package deal the reps in Orlando had no record of the booking so would'nt let us get on the bus, even though i had the paperwork to prove it.
They wanted me to pay again - to cut a long story short we did'nt get on the transfer bus as they had all left by the time he tried to squeeze the extra money out of us. They order a taxi to take us to international drive, if you have ever watched only fools and horses delboy's three wheeler who have been 5 star luxury compared the the taxi they sent us in - and the taxi driver charged us $98.00 and added a $10 tip on top. I got a receipt from him and then spent 8 days trying to get it refunded to me by the rep. Which they eventually did, I complained to the company when I got back and got a good will payment from Thomas cook for 120.00 pounds.

I'm off again in 12 days and booked another transfer from sanford, but I've also covered myself by ordering a towncar as well. I intend to collect my travel details from the rep at the airport then travel to international drive in the town car. I will only use the airport transfer on the day we leave to come back to london.

i contacted transportationflorida com and they said from sanford to i-drive was
$140.00 round trip.this was for 2 people with no waiting.
we go on nov 5th
