Transferring VHS to DVD - best converter to buy?

We need to transfer a bunch of home movies from VHS tapes to DVD.

What is the best converter to do this? I would rather not go thru the computer. I just want a converter that is VERY easy to use where you put in the VHS tape on one side and the DVD on the other and hit a button to transfer the tapes.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a Magnavox unit that plays both VHS and DVDs and is also a DVD recorder. The whole reason I bought it was to record things off of my DVR to DVD, but you can transfer VHS to a blank DVD also. I don't remember how much I paid for it, but it was probably less then $100 and that was about 3 years ago.
