Transferring Stray Points

I’m a newbie since mid-Feb and don’t know what to do with stray points!

I have 7 points left and use my last reservation in early Sept. with 9/30 banking deadline. I’m not planning to use any points next year as I’m saving for after 2023 (Feb UY). So what do I do with my leftover points? Any other ideas of what to do besides transfer?
I was thinking bank them and then transfer them to someone who needs it next year. Could I transfer already (for $?) or do I have to bank and then wait until next year to transfer?

Super stoked I stretched my first two small contracts into 7 nights (BW, AUL, AK) and have 7 pts left to spare. (Technically 4 because I had to borrow 3 from next UY and locked into a reservation.)

You can not transfer banked points. So, you’d have to do it before they expire.

The problem is that most owners won’t want a small transfer since you are limited to one per UY, in or out.

The only other option is to bank and then use some of your own points in your next UY to offer a one night rental. But, it could then leave you short for 2023.

If it were me, I might try to buy some OTU points and add another night to a trip if I could.

oh I see! So I could (not likely) transfer out this year or combine with next year and rent out a night. Hmmm. Ok! I got it. Thanks!! You are always so on it!

You could transfer to RCI and possibly do a single night somewhere, even as a staycation. You might new a few additional points, but not much. Given that the exchange free is still being waived, this could be a good option right now.

You can get a single night for as low as 10 points. I do not know if there is a minimum to transfer, but you could book a single night.

Minimum is 10 and then you must deposit in increments of 10 as well.

I started this thread some time ago to complain about 2 leftover points:

I did finally end up using them anyway. I booked a one night stay at HHI while we were en route from FL to CT. I used the two points and borrowed eight. It was worth the satisfaction of not losing the points. Plus we got to see HHI for the first time.

You know, I do remember that thread and thought wonder what she is talking about! I don’t think I will have any leftover but now I get it. Thanks for linking. I just googled HHI to Kennedy. That’s far but who knows- I may use it!
