Transferring Points with different use years and different resorts

So I am purchasing 2 different contracts: (VGC UY June and SSR UY December).

I understand there will be different member numbers and different reservations when I book from each. I understand that if I want to combine points to book under one reservation, I can transfer points, but I would have to reserve at the 7 month mark.

If i transfer the SSR points into the VGC account:
1. Will the transferred SSR points still be bankable? Will points be banked in SSR or VGC?
2. Will the Banking date of the transferred SSR points CHANGE to the June UY banking date, or does it stay the same?
3. Can I transfer Banked/Borrowed SSR points into VGC?

Transferred points retain their original home resort and they can be banked.

Transferred points retain their original use year.

Banked/Borrowed points can't be transferred.

We transferred between our contracts once and vowed to never do it again. MS lost the points, then after about an hour on the phone a manager found them. In the middle of making our reservation, they lost them again and the inventory got swiped out from under us while they were fixing things. We had to settle for a reservation somewhere else which left us with extra transferred points still in out account. Later trying to use the rest of the transferred points (that you can't see in your account), the CM told use again that we didn't have any points. It took several days until they found them and we placed our last reservation with transferred points.

I know that others may have better luck using them but I don't want to take the chance. In fact we will be selling our last contract in our second UY next month just to make life easier.

Banked/Borrowed points can't be transferred.

This is the technical answer but for a single owner with multiple master contracts they will often transfer more than once a year and transfer banked or borrowed points. It's done case by case usually when it's specifically needed in a given situation.

You will also have to call MS to make that reservation. When you transfer points into your membership, unless those points exactly match a resort and UY you already own in that membership, MS has no place to deposit the points. They track them manually somehow and that means you cannot see them or access them online. You must call MS when you want to use them. MS opens at 9am, an hour after online booking opens and that one-hour delay can make a difference when trying to book certain rooms at busy times of the year.
