transferring points from one account to another

We have three accounts, two at OKW, one AKL, all with different use years. This year, due to not being able to travel, we are going to have a small number of expiring points left over in each account (non-bankable), 8 points for two of the accounts, and 4 points at another. Is it possible to transfer all the points to one account so we have enough for a night's stay? Use years are March, April and October if that plays into the picture of which account we should "transfer into", if transferring is a possibility. Thanks much for your advice. Smiles, Kate

Each account can have only one (in or out, not both) transfer per UY. Thus, if you transfer points from one account to another, that's it for both of those accounts.

While they do allow owners to transfer more than once when they are their own memberships, they have to be points that are not banked or borrowed,

So, if these are not bankable because they were already banked, it won’t work. Now if it is just because you are beyond banking window, they should be able to help you,

The points don’t change status of home resort and UY when you transfer so it really doesn’t matter other than to make sure you choose a night that falls within the timeframe the points are valid so you will need to be strategic in choosing when you go.

Call member services and see what they will do for you. Sometimes if they are dealing with points from one owner they can work something out for a reservation.

I apologize to OP for giving wrong info. I didn't realize there is no limit on transfers for members with different UYs. Thanks for the correction.

IMO, you're not really wrong. AFAIK, there is nothing written anywhere that says transfers between memberships owned by the same person(s) are unlimited. Some MS CMs have allowed more than one, however. Others have reportedly not allowed exceptions to the rule. It's not guaranteed, and best not to count on getting exceptions to any rule.

That said, it doesn't hurt to ask for an exception, and in the case of transfers between your own memberships, it has a good chance of being granted.

As Carol said, I should have been more clear that it isn’t an official policy but one that does happen..it did to me.

So, I apologize for being vague!

Every time I transferred from my Dec OKW to my Sept OKW, the CM told me that I had used my once a year transfer either in or out on both contracts.

It sounds like it's one of those unspoken rules. Unless it's abused, CM can bestow some magic occasionally.

Wow. I did 3 transfers this year, 3 different times, with 3 different CMs.

The first 2 were to my other membership. The last one was to another member.

When I did the first one, I confirmed it wouldn’t count as my one and done. The CM checked and confirmed it would not.

When I went to transfer to the other member, the CM had to confirm the other transfers I had done were between myself and once she did, the transfer was processed.

So, it may be that things are changing.
