Transferring Points Booked to a Different Contract

I booked a vacation previously when I had one contract; now I have another one that includes banked 2020 points. How do I switch the points used to be the banked points first?

If the contracts are under the same membership and are the same resort then just go in and modify the reservation. Keep everything the same and select the new contract (or both contracts) when you get to that page. The system would pull the banked points first. If it is a different resort and the reservation was made during the 11 month window then you wouldn't be able to swap points unless there is current availability for the same room.

It actually ended being easy to do online. Same membership, non-home resort

I think they still have issues with resale contracts being able to modify and swap points. It's hit/miss.

I was able to swap <7month points same membership earlier last month, but not last week that required a call for assist.

I'm not able to do much online because of this trash website, but I was able to do this with my resale contracts when I moved points around. You just modify the reservation and then only modify the contract part.
