Transferring points between my contracts?

I have a SSR contract and an AKV contract (which is smaller). Can I transfer needed points to my AKV from SSR? The reason I ask is that I'd rather not do a split stay, and I'd like to keep the 11 month reservation window, instead of waiting 4 months to find out if I can stay an extra night or two.

Sorry if this is a "duh" question. This alternative just occurred to me and at work I can't pull up the member site.

Thanks much for help.

transferring SSR pts won't help you reserve AKV at the 11 month window.

you could borrow pts from next year's AKV allocation...

As others have already stated, at the 11-month window you can't book AKV with SSR points. In addition, if your AKV contract is an "add on" to your SSR contract (same base contract number as the SSR contract but with an ".001" extension) then you cannot transfer points between those contracts. In fact, you do not need to do so. You can just combine the points at 7 months out to book any DVC resort.

If the two contracts are completely separate (different base contract numbers) then you can transfer points from one contract to the other but only once per use year, either in or out. Transferred points retain their home resort and Use Year so again, it wouldn't allow you to use your SSR points at AKV in the 11-month booking window.
