I'm trying to figure out how points are used for reservations and am curious about transferring points between accounts with different home resorts.

Say I own at two resorts, or I own at one resort and a family member owns at another resort, but we prefer to stay at one of them most of the time (BCV).

If a reservation is made at one home resort (BCV) at the 11 month window and then points with a different home resort (BLT) are tranferred into your account near the 7 month mark. Can the points transferred in be used for the reservation, allowing the BCV points to be banked or would I have to cancel and rebook the reservation hoping that availability is still there in order to use the BLT points?

If a reservation is made during the home resort priority period, you can not swap those points out later for points from a different home resort. The only way to change the points used would be to cancel the reservation and rebook based on availability.

Transferred points will retain their original status of Home Resort and Use Year. As noted, reservations made using the 11 month priority can't usually be modified using points from other resorts unless there is availability already at 7 months. Transferred points can't supercede the 11 month reservation priority since that would defeat the purpose of that Home Resort advantage.
