transfering points

DSiL just bought AKL and will have her developer points,we all plan on staying at AKL,so if i transfer our points to her account how long before she can use then to book for everone.This way we would be able to book AKL at 11 month window rather than 7 month

I'm not sure it workd like that Paul. You own at SSR, don't you? In which case, your points should retain their 'home resort status' ie stay SSR points even if transferred into your SIL's account. It may be the case that MS don't realise it and allow her to make the reservation but it would be a waste of a transfer if it doesn't happen that way.

Wilma is correct, Paul. Your points will (or are supposed to) retain all of their characteristics -- UY, resort, etc.

However, you may still be able to make it work. Transferred points can be banked, so your SIL could borrow points from next year and then bank some or all of your transferred points to replenish her next years points.

Those points, however, should still retain their SSR characteristics. Whether they will or not in the real world is anybody's guess.
