Transfering points from different Home Resorts

My sister and I are planning a trip for next September. We are both DVC owners, but we own at different resorts. If she transfers points into my account, will I be able to take advantage of the 11-month window? Or will her points, even though they are in my account, still only have a 7-month window?

Transferred points are supposed to maintain their original Home Resort status. At 11 months they will still be limited to their original resort - at 7 months you can combine them for reservations with other points at any resort.

Some have reported that transferred points have assumed the status of the account into which they were moved - so you might be lucky and be able to use them in that fashion. However, some have also reported that the transferred points kept their original identity and could not be used until 7 months.
