Transferable?

We have a cruise booked for Feb. 2016. We booked it this last February, and booked a 1 bedroom suite. I received a promotion in April, and now work is saying they may not approve that time off anymore due to some big changes expected to happen in February.
Anyway, I know the deposit is not refundable, but I am wondering if it is transferable to another date?
This is a big bummer, and I would hate to lose the $1200 deposit, but not sure what else to do.

I wouldn't hurt to give DCL a call (or your TA would have to do this, if you used one) and ask about your options.

I've read where DCL has allowed transferring deposits, and I've read where they didn't.

We have sailed in a suite several times and my TA always tells me that the deposit it transferable but not refundable (and we have transferred ours once). You can even transfer it to a non-concierge room but that amount will still remain nonrefundable.
