I called DCL about round-trip transfers. Our flight leaves very late on the day we return, so we had planned to make our "return" transfer to Beach Club and walk over to Epcot for the Flower and Garden festival. The cast member at DCL said that she "thought" we had to go to the same destination as our luggage, but said that it may be that once we check our luggage we could get on whichever bus we chose (MCO or WDW). We would then pay for a cab or towncar to the airport.
Can someone please tell me if that is possible? It sounded like it was not the "official" transfer but one that Disney allows. However, I really don't want to get there and have a problem. Has anyone else sent their luggage on via the transfers then caught up with it later that day?
