Transfer points retain use year?

Do transfer points retain the original use year?

I have a June use year and am looking to trasfer points. If I transfer in April use year points, do they retain the April use year, or do they somehow morph to June use year points?

Also, do the tranferred points retain the original home resort status? I'm looking to book at the 7 month window, so I suppose it doesn't matter anyway, but I'm curious.

If you transfer in April 2008 UY points you would have until November 30 2008 to bank them into UY April 1 2009 - March 31 2010.

Unless it has changed in the past year, transferred points aren't bound by the banking guidelines. My brother transferred points to me late in his use year. Too late for him to bank, but I was able to bank them as soon as they were in my account. Also, transferred points will not be visible in your account on the DVC website. When you are ready to make a res. you need to let MS know that you have transferred points you wish to use.
