Very new at all this - where do you get the best transfer paper? Has anyone used Nara Techonology on Ebay - how is their paper? Thanks for any input or advice.

I use "Avery Transfer Paper"...I get it at Target.

Since I am about to buy my transfer paper, I was wondering why you hated the Avery. I was in A.C. Moore and they only had one brand and since I'm new at this, it wasn't a brand I heard mentioned on the boards. I was just about to purchase the Avery, now I don't know what to do.

I've had good luck with the Avery. I think the best transfer paper that I have used was from the ebay seller mariettaangie. Amy posted recently that she had some very good transfer paper from her but that the second batch she got was not the same quality.

I have only used dark transfer paper. Never used the light so can't help there.

Thank you rumblytumbly for your response. I will using dark transfer paper because that's what's been recommended on this site and it seems to work for everyone and I am using red t-shirts and light blue. I'm glad to know that Target carries the Avery transfer paper. I've never done this before and really want them to come out right. I have the tips and suggestions from this board, which was wash the t-shirts and use no fabric softener or dryer sheets, then iron them, then print a transfer and use a old t-shirt for trial, using a hard surface for ironing as opposed to an ironing board. Do you have any other suggestions? I can use all the help I can get.
I was just wondering what happened with imadisneynut's t-shirts.
Thanks.

I AM NEW AT THIS, BUT I TRYED TO USE A WHITE SWEATER AND USED THE DARK TRANSFER. I DON'T LIKE HOW IT PRINTS ON WHITE AND THEN YOU HAVE THAT STICKY TEXTURE. SO THEN I TRYED THE TRANSFER FOR LIGHT COLORS WELL THAT WENT ON BETTER, BUT IT HAS THAT HARD FILLING AND I PRINTED IT ON WHITE AGAIN AND WHEN I IRONED IT ON YOU CAN SEE WHERE IT IS CUT OUT AND HAD A YELLOWING COLOR TO IT. WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR IS THE LOOK AND FEEL OF A SILK SCREEN. I KNOW THEY MAKE THEM JUST HAVE TO FIND THEM AND I WILL FIND THEM. WHEN I DO I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW

Thank you for the reply imadisneynut. Hopefully, someone on these boards can direct you to what you need. Good luck.
