transfer paper question

I am trying to make some shirts for my family. I cut out mickey heads and have them on our shirts, I am trying to put our names on there as well. I bought transfer paper for dark shirts since I am using red tshirts, I wanted to do our names in white so they show up better but the instructions say anything that is white is going to stay white so I would have to cut around every individual letter and that seems like it would take forever and still not work. What should I purchase? Individual iron on letters or is there another type of transfer paper that works better for what I need? I don't have a cricut or any other cool machine. Any help is greatly appreciated, I only have a 30 days til our trip and I am worried I won't be able to get these done.

Can you outline the words in black and leave the letters otherwise white?

Besides hand cutting, your only other option would be to purchase iron on letters. Hand cutting isn't that difficult. The suggestion of outlining is a good one. Instead of black, I would choose a red that closely matches the shirt. That way, it wouldn't be too obvious if you made a mistake. Also, use a block type style like helvetica or arial as there are less curves. Good luck.

Well it's too late now,but, I use only M_I_C_K_E_Y's tranfer paper..I love love them and they can be used on any color shirts. I have cut out each letter of the word IF it was easy, if not, I cut as close to the edge that I could..Good luck and magical days ahead

I just received my purchase from amymickey last week. So far I have made 2 shirts and they look fantastic! I was surprised how easy the transfer paper was to use.
