I am going to be making shirts for DH and I to wear on a couple of 1/2 marathons....

Does anyone have any experience using iron-on transfers on dry-fit shirts?

I have had numerous people ask this and I am not sure if anyone tried it or not. The real question is - can one of these shirts hold up to the heat of an iron. In order to a transfer, you need to preheat your iron (on almost the hottest setting) for 8 to 10 minutes before ironing. If your shirt can withstand the heat (and not melt), then it should work fine. If it would melt the shirt, then no go.

Please come back and let us know if you decide to try it and how it went.

I would instead see about getting it silk screened onto the dri-fit shirt. I did an iron on onto a work our tank - it was fine for the day of the event. After a few washes the tank had enough elastic give to cause the iron on to rip into "ribbons" and begin to peel and pull of in spots. Unfortunately I can't get the rest of the darn transfer off.

Good luck! :wizard:
