Transfer of Points Question...PLEASE HELP, Time Sensitive

Hello.
I currently have 6 points left (SSR) in my 2011 September U/Y.
I would like to add on one night to my exisitng reservation on August 25 that would require 11 more points.
I would like to find someone for a point transfer but what do I need to know?
Since it is less than 7 months out, does it matter where I get the points?
For instance, if someone is saying, they have AKL points for transfer, does it matter when they are "mixed" with my 6 2011 SSR that I want to use for Augsut 25, 2012?
When I find someone I want to do the transfer with, do I need to make sure the U/Y is 2011 or can it be 2011 and 2012? Does it have to be anything other than 2013?
The studio is available and I would like to do this sooner rather than later since we booked the flight today and it comes in at midnight.

I know this isn't exactly what you asked, but I'm saying it anyway. To make things a LOT easier, I would just buy the extra points from Disney. You can only buy from Disney within 7 months, but since you are at that point, it will be much easier. I think it is $15/point from Disney, but it might be worth it. You won't get a MUCH better deal from a transfer, and you may not find anyone willing to transfer such a small number of points since you can only transfer once per year.

If you go this route, you can buy the points right then, apply them to the reservation, and be done. I think it will be much faster and hassle free.

I second Disney Princess's suggestion. I doubt you are going to find some one who wants to use there one and only transfer a year to transfer 5 points unless there is a member with some points they are going to loss. However, if you are willing to go for more (like 50 or 100), I am sure you could find some one.

As to your question - I do not think it matters what resort the points would be from. As for the UY, you can only transfer current UY, so it could be a 2011 or 2012 UY. If it is a 2011 UY that ends before your vacation, you could bank them (as long as the 4 month window is not closed - so April 2011 UY to July 2011 UY would be good since you would not be able to bank them.)

I agree with the others, just buy the one time use points from Disney and be done with it. Simplest way to do it. Have a wonderful trip
