Transfer of 2006 points prior to the start of 2005 use year?

According to replies to one of my previous threads, I can use my 2006 points prior to the start of my 2005 use year to book a trip in the 2005 use year. The problem I have now is that I need points that are in my sons 2006 use year account transferred into my account prior to the start of his 2005 use year.

Is it true that he cannot transfer the 2006 points into my account prior to the start of his 2005 use year? If it has been done, please let me know how to approach DVC.

I do not believe you'll be able to transfer 2 use years ahead. Plus you may not be able to use the transferred points for the intended reservation (2005) since it appears transferred points cannot be borrowed. You're better off just making the reservation from his account in your name. You can always link the reservations.

It wouldn't two years ahead, I want to make Thanksgiving reservations in January at the eleven month window yet I can not get his points transferred until the start of his use year...February. I didn't think of him making part of the reservation for me. I might try and get some days after Thanksgiving on a cash basis and transfer them to points reservations after February using his 2006 points.

If you're talking Thanksgiving 2005, I don't think you'll be able to use your son's 2006 transferred points. He could borrow them and make part of the days in your name under his contract. I don't want to beat this but I get the impression you are trying to do something that won't work out. You may want to post the specifics for the entire transaction so we can make sure you're going to be OK before you get to the 11 month window.
