Transfer limits like borrowing limits right now?

I searched this forum for the answer to my question below but didn't find anything related.

With the borrowing limits on points right now, are there similar limits on transferring points from one member to another? could I borrow what I'm allowed then also receive transfer points from a friend who has a contract? Of course, I didn't think of these questions until after I hung up with MS and didn't want to call back to be on hold for an hour again.

I'm trying to book at SSR for a family friend but even though I have plenty of points in both 2023 contracts to make up the difference, the MS rep told me today that due to the limits, I'd have to do a one time points PURCHASE at $19pp. That's seems ridiculous if I have the points and the April ressie is available since we are only 2 months away from the days I need to book.

The transfer rules are still the same. You can either receive or, alternatively, transfer out any points once per use year. Points transferred retain the use year beginning month of the transferor. You cannot transfer points that have already been banked or borrowed, but transfer points that you receive can be banked as long as done so within the first 8 months of the transferor's use year.

No impact because transferred points can not be borrowed for trips.
