Has anyone ever done this and is Disney helpful in trying to keep the same room as we would like to remain in the room we have booked?

Thanks :earsboy:

We did this for a cruise in 2002. They kept us in the same room we had reserved.

We have done this three times. We always have two staterooms. The first time we switched both cabins to almost all points and kept the same room. Second time, we switched one cabin only and kept the same and for our last West Coast cruise, we again switched one cabin and had to book the cabin next to it for some reason. Make sure you call as soon as your 11 month frame opens up.

Have you thought about renting out your points? You could probably get $10-$12 per point from what I have read. Also buying a Disney through Disney is the most expensive way for cash. There are travel agents that can get you a lot better deal on cash than Disney. We have used Small World Vactions. When we priced out the points for our cruise Disney was giving us credit for about $7.5 per point which is still a great deal considering our dues and cost is less than $7.5.
