Training Week at camp...Rain, Cold, a sprained ankle, and now sadness

I just got back from pre-camp training (the first week starts Sunday) and after talking to my family, I came here naturally. It rained quite a few times, yuck. It was also cold and on Monday right before lunch I sprained my ankle. I couldn't walk so I had to hop around and have people help me get around until my Dad was able to come at dinner time with crutches. I used those the rest of Monday and Tuesday, on Wednesday I was able to sort of walk but just on the ball of my foot so for short distances I walked and just used the crutches for far distances. Thursday I was able to walk, but it hurt, but the director still made my take this hike on this really bad trail, and it was total mud, and went up and down this rather large hill, so at times I had someone in front of me, pulling me up and down the hill and someone behind me pushing me up and down the hill. It was awful, and administrative staff didn't seem to care much, which really mad me mad. But I am able to walk now, have an ankle brace on and it doesn't hurt as much as it did.

and now, to come back and hear about Robin makes it so much worse, that is so very sad.

That stinks Alisha. Stay off your ankle!!!!! DO NOT go on any walks if it is just going to aggravate it.

I hope things pick up immediately.

Take it from someone who walked on an ankle sprain too fast.. DON"T DO IT! It took me almost 9 months and many weeks of physical therapy to make it well. I hope its feeling better. Remember RICE!
