Hello all

we're off to DLP soon and figured we'd go into Paris to do a little site seeing and maybe climb the tower this time. Last time we were there I went to the ticket office outside the station and asked for a mobilus ticket and was told I had to buy a day travel card(19 euros) as I wasnt a paris resident. However that was 2+ years ago now so should I go inside the station for a ticket? and which ticket should I be looking for?

thanks

Rhys

We always bought mobilis tickets (approx 13 Euros ) and were never told we couldnt. We always got them from the ticket office inside the station.

Once we got them the day before when we noticed it was quiet in there as sometimes there can be a queue at the ticket office. There are machines where you can get tickets but I couldnt see an option for mobilis tickets and ended up getting a single by mistake (but I might have missed the mobilis option)

Do you mean the tourist office? If so, I think they must have just been pushing the Paris Visite card as anyone can buy a Mobilis ticket. We bought our train tickets inside the train station and the man was really helpful. He was going to sell us Mobilis tickets then he asked if we wanted to use the metro round Paris and when we said we only wanted to go there and back he sold us a set of 10 single tickets (there were 5 of us) as these worked out cheaper.

I'd also recommend buying your tickets in advance if possible ~ we were queueing for about half an hour to buy ours at 9:30ish.

yea I think it was the tourist office. thanks for the tips all. Will go in the day before and get a ticket.

Thanks for asking this, as we are trying to plan our day trip into Paris from Disney. I had read about the Mobilis ticket but couldn't find any info on it.

maybe climb the tower this time.

Not sure when you are going, but just to let you know the top floor of the tower is closed until the 4th feb.
