Hi

How easy is to catch the train from your hotel in Paris to DLP. I cant say where the hotel is or what hotel we are staying in as its a surprise bday present for dh next year. He always looks on this site. His username is Gillsfan in case he asks :rotfl2:

I am trying to find out is the underground easy to use? Are they frequent? We will be travelling via Eurostar this time round and wont be camping as it will be March. My dh knows we are going to Paris, but I am trying to keep as a surprise where we are staying exactly.

Its very easy. Go to one of the tourist info places (there is a big one on the Champs Elyssee) and they will sell you a special ticket (park admission and train) and tell you exactly what station you need to be at. You get an RER train from one of many stations (I think we picked it up from Gare de Nation) which you can reach by metro or bus. The trains run fairly frequently and are bang on time. Look for the destination "Marne-Le Vallee" not DLP on the front of the train!!

It takes about 30 minutes and takes you right into the Disney complex, seconds from the parks and village.

We are doing it reverse this weekend - staying at DLP and getting the train to Paris!

Hope none of us put our proverbial size nines in it then! ;) :teeth:
We caught the train the other way round on our trip. We found it really easy to use, there are lots of posters showing the route of stations in all the train carriages and every station is very clearly signposted so it is easy to keep track of where you are, unlike in UK!

We took the RER A train from the Chatelet Les Halles station in Paris to the Marne-la-Vallee Chessy station (at the Disneyland main entrance). It took 45 - 50 minutes, and cost 6.10 EUR one way.
