Does anyone know if Trails end will return as a buffet? It’s one of my husbands favorites, but I’m not sure if family style is worth it. We’re staying at Copper creek this summer, so debating going to whispering canyon for a skillet instead, since that’s the similar to family style.

I would still do Both. WC skillet are more expensive and don’t come with a drink But also a better selection and you can order 2 or ? Depending on how many in your group and share. TE is 30 with a drink. WC does have a lunch/ breakfast option that is less but also less selection.

Actually, no, you cannot share the Whispering Canyon all-you-care-to-eat skillets.

If CMs see you doing so, you can be charged the full price for each person eating from it.

Whispering Canyon has a la carte entrees which can be shared. Ordering those instead is a better plan.

I’m thinking maybe they meant each person order a different skillet & share that way (?) at WC.
Last trip my husband & I ordered different ones and our waitress encouraged us to try from both

Trails end is still not back to a buffet as far as I know. It was one of our favorite go to restaurant’s and now it’s not even close to as good as it was extremely disappointing.

WC skillets are shareable. People can order different skillets and eat items off all the skillets not just the one they ordered. We were just there last week. We went at 12:30 pm my DH and I ordered the Heritage which is traditional breakfast items. Our 2 sons ordered the Carnivore which is grilled chicken, pulled pork, brisket, corn and cornbread. Our server let us know we can share.

We were allowed to share last time we visited as well, we each got a different skillet to try a bit of each.

I went to TE tonight and yes it’s still family style. There’s no way I would say it’s extremely disappointing unless your dead set on a buffet. I get it -missing quite a few good options, but the food they’re offering was very good. Salad was good, corn bread the same, the pork and brisket I had was great by Disney standards, chiicken(not fried) was moist and flavorful, green beans and grilled corn good as well. Had a little extra pork but skipped dessert - wayyy too full! Do wish they’d offer strawberry shortcake with hoop dee doo still closed(for now) but wouldn’t have been able to eat it anyway. With my discount it came to $28 …pretty fair deal in my opinion. Service with Philippe was excellent.

Okay, I agree you can share skillets if everybody orders one.

I misunderstood the poster to be saying 2 people or more could share one skillet order.

We miss the buffet! We loved it (the cowboy eggs Benedict was my favorite!!) We tried and didn’t enjoy the skillets. Basic selection, and nothing special. Will not return unless the buffet returns.

To clarify we only tried the brunch skillet- which I would not recommend. The dinner one might be good
