Trail's End is a buffet so there really isn't a children's menu. They also have a pizza menu for the bar and take out.
This is one of our favorite dinner spots - they serve many of the same items as Hoop-de-doo. The only negatives I can think of: tables are close together and so there can seem to be a lot of activity with people coming and going to the buffet.
My DMom loves the fried chicken at Trail's End so much that it's going to be the first stop after check-in. I like the salad bar (b/c I love to eat salads), but the sides & desserts are also really tasty.
We thought the food was very good. The problem we had was that we ate there on a night with a playoff NFL game on and the bar was packed, so where were we seated? Thats right, the bar, we literally had people leaning on our table and even though we only went to the buffet one at a time everytime one of us left someone would either try to steal the chair or just go ahead and sit at our table. We tried to have our table changed but were told it would be a long wait. Having said all that, the food was good enough that we are giving Trails End another try this Dec.
Thanks for the reviews.
I just booked this for the first time for our stay in December/January. Was a little nervous because my husband is very picky...this is right up his alley of food though.
We have only eaten there for breakfast, but we love it! Great food, good variety, and the price is nice, too. We plan on hitting it up again for both breakfast & Mickey's Backyard BBQ when we go in the spring. My favorite is the Mickey waffles and the biscuits-YUMMY!!!
The only downside is getting there. It can take awhile if you are using Disney transportation, so just allow enough time to get there and then back to wherever it is you want to be.
